TO GO menu is finally finished - YEAH!

Many weeks and versions later, we have finally finshed our TO GO menu.  THANKS to ALL for your patience! Special thanks to my employees who had to apologize day in and day out for 5 months that we didn’t have our To Go menu yet.  Our regular menu has a NEW format as well, with a good explanation of our ministry purpose.  We continually strive to improve and perfect our food, menu and service.  So ENJOY everyone!

 

NEW HOURS!

Our posted hours are incorrect on the website.  Sorry about that!  Our current hours are 11 to 3 Monday through Thursday  and on Friday and Saturday, we are open 11 to 3 and 5 to 9.   When we settle on the hours that best serve our customers and staffing needs, we will correct the website.  We also will post our new menu at that time.  Thanks for your patience!

Long time no blog . . .

I apologize for my prolonged silence . . . I think I have been in recovery mode.  I’ve been keeping up with the cafe, though not really trying to advance.  The push to put the cafe together and then finally open, took a toll on me.  And so lately it has been a time to settle into a routine of sorts and breathe again.  I’ve even been reading again lately and I must say it feels really good.

MERRY CHRISTMAS from comfort food cafe!

With almost 3 weeks “under our belt” and Christmas quickly approaching, I am pausing to reflect on where we’ve been, where we are and where we are going.  First and foremost, we’ve had a “pressure cooker” type of educational experience in the restaurant business!  Really important things have been learned, practices modified, and progress made.  And things we thought important, but were not, have dropped by the wayside.  This will continue for sometime to come, but we are committed to being teachable, eager to learn more and offer the best organic food we can to our community.And CHRISTMAS…..ahhh, this is the reason we do what we do at comfort food cafe! Jesus came as a baby, grew up to be our savior, died and was raised, and LIVES in heaven, one day to return and gather us “his bride”, to join Him in heaven forever. We did it!  We did it!  With God, all things are possible!  And we did it! After training all week and a dress rehearsal with invited guests for the staff to practice on; we were ready to open to the public on Saturday and had very few mess ups!  We are all really tired, but also very excited and had a lot of FUN! Please come see us when you are nearby Puyallup….we think you’ll be GLAD you did!Our hours are Monday thru Saturday, 9 to 2:30.  So that means we serve breakfast and lunch table side, tea time in the afternoon and also offer take out food to go, as well.  If you want to order ahead, to hear the specials of the day, please call 253-770-6147. And if we don’t happen to meet you this month, a very Merry Christmas to you ALL!

10 DAYS and counting . . .

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  This is truly the holiday that exemplifies the meaning of “comfort food” and we are enjoying every morsel of it.  We are very excited to be training our wonderful employees all next week!  And we look forward to serving you come December!
